Riot Fest continued our partnership with Douglas Park neighborhood organization A Safe Haven Foundation for its 7th annual 5K RUN! to End Homelessness. This year, the run was held at Montrose Harbor, and took place on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 8:30AM. The first 50 runners to finish each won a pair of 3-day passes to Riot Fest!
As an incentive, Riot Fest also recruited volunteers to work the run in exchange for free festival tickets.
Duties included checking in other volunteers, checking in and/or registering runners or walkers, gear check, water for runners, logistics and directions, safety, and set-up and tear-down of event.
All proceeds from the run went to support the mission of A Safe Haven Foundation, one of the nation’s leading non-profit organizations dedicated to transforming lives from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. Thanks to all who participated!
