April is almost here and that means Easter egg hunts! G.D. Kanoon Magnet Elementary School is hosting an inclusive, non-denominational “Bunny Hop” event this week to provide a fun activity for the kids and promote parental attendance for report card week. We at the Riot Fest Foundation donated 20 Easter Baskets for their fundraising raffle, candy for the egg hunt, and 22 gift cards to be used as prizes for the older students. A little something for everyone!
Kanoon Elementary School is located in Little Village, just south of Douglass Park. Kanoon is dedicated to promoting multilingual and multicultural education. By prioritizing students’ pride in their heritage and self-identity, the school is helping to create a diverse and inclusive environment that values the unique perspectives and experiences of all students. The school is helping to prepare its students to be responsible, engaged citizens who are capable of making a positive impact on their communities and the world. By addressing the needs, strengths, and talents of each individual student, Kanoon is providing a personalized and effective education that can help students reach their full potential. The Bunny Hop Event is taking place for their students throughout the last week of March.
