Established in October 2016, Douglas Park Advisory Council (DPAC) is a group of innovative, dedicated, focused, creative and critical thinking volunteers located on the Westside of Chicago at Douglas Park Cultural Center. DPAC mission is to provide opportunities to achieve community goals through community outreach, positive communications, and interaction with community residents, park patrons, and with public and private organizations. DPAC has since committed to enhancing the quality of life for all residents of the North Lawndale area through development and maintenance of parklands and facilities. DPAC promotes community involvement and leadership by providing recreation programs, special events, educational resources, and employment opportunities.
