The Riot Fest Foundation awarded a grant to The Harmony Community Cares Community Arts program to provide valuable arts education to children and teens in North Lawndale and surrounding areas. Arts education is important for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. It can also have a positive impact on academic performance and social-emotional development. Underfunded and discontinued art programs have left a gap in the overall field of arts. Organizations like the Harmony Community Cares continue to benefit students who may not have access to them otherwise.
