RFF Issues Grant to DPAC for Special Recreation Programming

Riot Fest Foundation is proud to issue a grant to theDouglas Park Advisory Council on behalf of the Chicago Park District for its Special Recreation programming.
Starting in 1965, the Chicago Park District began training park employees on ways to better serve people with disabilities. Douglas Park serves students with Intellectual and Physical disabilities, Blind or Visually Impaired, Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing. DPAC meets the recreational needs of all individuals with disabilities within the community by offering a broad range of activities from life skills to athletic activities, as well as participating in the city wide Special Olympics.
Funds from the grant will go towards Special Olympics uniforms, bus transportation, and sports equipment.
